Strategy Associate, CEO's Office

At Bridebook we're looking for a Strategy Associate, CEO's Office to join our team.

Full-time · London, Notting Hill

About the job

We are seeking an experienced problem-solving strategic thinker to help shape the future of our business as we continue to take the wedding industry by storm. You will be responsible for supporting and guiding key business decisions at a crucial stage in our company, as we look to enter a period of rapid growth of monetisation and international expansion. This role will be hands-on, dealing with analysis, planning and execution of these key milestones.

This is a full time role within our Operations Team and is based out of our London office. We would also be open to talking to candidates wishing to take a 12 month secondment from consulting firms.

The global wedding industry is a $300bn market and one of the last industries of this size that has yet to be transformed by a major digital player. Your role will help us strategise how to best tackle it and build an iconic consumer brand. This will entail key involvement in business expansion strategy, fundraising, and key central operations.

You should be capable of strong data-driven analytics, a result-driven attitude to problem solving, an energy to roll your sleeves up and get heavily involved in challenges, and enjoy leading projects.

You will be working hand-in-hand with our CEO and senior management on strategically important challenges. This is an incredibly exciting time for the company and the role gives you an opportunity to be a part of the core team of one of Europe’s fastest growing start-ups.

You will have 4 key areas of responsibility:

  • Business Management - Owning and optimising the OKR process for the company. This is a fundamental and critical aspect of the role, as our OKRs underpin our strategy. You will be leading this process and responsible for ensuring we progress on our business goals in readiness for each investment round.
  • Investor Relations - Supporting our CEO on investor and board relations. This includes financial modelling and board pack preparation.
  • Special Projects - You may be required to support or lead important strategic projects as and when required, which will be directly aligned with our business goals.
  • Business Process Improvement - Refining our existing business processes and embedding new ones to ensure the company is ready to scale rapidly across multiple markets.

About you

  • You have demonstrable Project Management skills.
  • You have exceptional organisational and critical thinking skills.
  • You are passionate about and have demonstrable experience in business process improvement.
  • You are data-driven, analytical and decisive.
  • You enjoy problem-solving and are entrepreneurial.
  • You have good communication skills; you are concise and articulate.
  • You are self-driven with a bias for action; you are keen to take responsibility and drive progress.
  • You demonstrate strong self-awareness, empathy for your stakeholders and a strong sense of ownership for your contribution to the business.
  • You are passionate, enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a smart team, and you are able to work autonomously.
  • You are keen to work in a small, fast-paced, agile tech startup which punches above its weight.
  • You are keen to bring knowledge and best practices from your previous experience to help the company prepare for scale. Having top notch early consulting experience from an MBB or Big 4 firm would be advantageous.
  • You are excited to build a huge company from scratch!

What you will get in return

  • Direct, regular interaction with our Founder and CEO; regular communications and dialogue with investors / VC community; and be surrounded by an amazingly smart, talented team of colleagues who share a growth mindset
  • Significant responsibility and autonomy and the opportunity to shape and have high impact on our future operating model
  • Great international exposure
  • A fast paced dynamic high performing environment
  • A strong collegiate culture committed to supporting each other, recognising and rewarding success, staying connected, and continuously seeking improvements to ways of working
