What will I be doing?  ‍‍👩‍💻👨‍💻

We’re looking for a collaborative Quality Assurance specialist to safeguard the quality and user experience across our scalable, cloud-based, next-generation wedding platform. Ensuring we have an efficient, structured and automated QA process that can be deployed at scale! You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to help deliver the best possible product for our users across both sides of the marketplace and our mobile-app.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Building, updating and executing automated end-to-end test cases (ideally using Playwright or a similar tool).

  • Conducting manual tests across both frontend and backend.

  • Teaming up with our current QA specialist to define and develop a unified testing plan that ensures full coverage across all our platforms (Android, iOS, Web).

  • Collaborating with our team of engineers, product owners and designers to help shape and understand our product requirements.

  • Serving as a QA advocate within the business and ensuring all tickets are written with QA in mind (e.g. clear specifications, clear acceptance criteria).

  • Signing off on releases and making sure the right quality checks are in place before and after delivery.

  • Promoting best practices and improving product quality based on feedback from engineers, customer service and the users themselves.

We’re looking for someone who: 🧠💚

  • Has at least 3 years of experience as a QA.

  • Has experience writing automated test suites.

  • Is able to develop and maintain automated tests in Playwright or a similar tool.

  • Has a technical background and analytical approach.

  • Is able to communicate clearly across various audiences and have excellent communication and documentation skills overall.

  • Is able to collaborate with different stakeholders and develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams.

  • Has very good organisational skills and is able to prioritise effectively at all times.

  • Has a mindset to learn and develop in an agile, delivery-focused tech startup.

  • Ideally has a good understanding of structure pipelines and related tooling, experience using Jira, and experience navigating and querying Firebase - but it’s not essential!

What if you’re a partial fit?🌱

We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the wedding industry and welcome candidates with different backgrounds and experiences! We prioritise grit, positivity, and the willingness to get stuck in, and encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t exactly match this job description.
