Help us to lead and shape the future of our product as we continue to take the industry by storm. You will be responsible for the digital product design, covering both the UX and the UI. Leading our design efforts and working hand in hand with product, engineering and marketing teams. This role sits within the Product team and the role will report directly into the Head of Product. About us

Bridebook is a revolutionary wedding planning platform that seeks to make wedding planning an enjoyable, intuitive, and rewarding experience for couples, guests, and industry partners. Launched in the UK, Bridebook has over 1,000,000 planning couples and has been featured in major outlets such as the New York Times, the BBC, and the App Store. After six years and many iterations later, we have 2 in 3 engaged UK couples and 1 in 3 engaged German couples using Bridebook, and have recently expanded into the French market. While we serve a very emotional and creative industry, we are obsessed with using tech and data to revolutionise the industry. What you will do 

  • Lead, coach and grow the design team. Act as a mentor, providing guidance and direction.

  • Develop and lead the product design strategy for the company. Be a thought leader and advocate for market leading product design with the senior team and across other functions.

  • Collaboratively develop a product with continuous iterations, based on effective research and data analysis.

  • Design product features to ensure users have a delightful experience.

  • Create sketches, prototypes, wireframes, user flows and UI interactions for app as well as mobile and desktop web.

  • Work closely with product managers and developers to help produce a product that satisfies business, technical and UX constraints.

  • Ensure the design process is streamlined and meets the standards of Bridebook.

  • Work towards carrying out effective user testing and using the results to help shape our product decisions.

What are we looking for?

  • 7+ years of UX/UI experience designing digital products (app/web) in a commercial environment.
  • Experience developing and leading long-term design strategy proposals, concepts and visions.
  • Experience managing and coaching a team.
  • Experience designing exceptional app experiences as well as mobile and desktop web with a mobile-first mindset.
  • Experience with AB and multi-variant testing, as well as running user research and usability testing
  • Experience of leading and championing strong product design and managing senior stakeholders.
  • You have a portfolio that demonstrates strategic problem solving as well as your experience creating successful, user-centric products
  • Experience of translating business / users needs and technology constraints into solution concepts that are easy to use.
