Senior People Business Partner
Who is Bridebook anyway? 💙
Bridebook is a SaaS and Marketplace scale-up business revolutionising the wedding industry. We are proud to be the UK’s number one wedding planning app and the ONLY global provider! Our mission is to make the wedding planning journey as happy as possible for engaged couples everywhere!
With over 90% of the world’s 7.5bn population expected to get married in their lifetime, the wedding industry is massive. It is 50% larger than the global taxi and food delivery markets combined, yet it sadly lags in digitalisation and lacks solutions for the modern-day needs of both couples and businesses. So here's Bridebook, set to disrupt the wedding industry🎉
Our team is made up of talented creative, analytical, and tech-focused minds! We have been featured 12 times on the App Store as well as been rated the number 1 app by Apple. Our investors are well known for supporting some previous successful unicorns such as Airbnb, Pinterest, Skyscanner and Tesla.
What will I be doing? 👩💻👨💻
We’re looking for a Senior People Business Partner to play a key role in establishing and evolving our business partnering function, driving a high-performance culture, and delivering strategic and operational impact across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of critical elements of our people strategy from day one, partnering closely with senior leaders to support our growth and shape the future of our people function. Ideal for an experienced people professional, this role offers the chance to make a lasting difference in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Acting as a trusted partner to your people leaders and managers by challenging their thinking and advising on the best people strategies to drive performance, collaboration, and growth within their teams.
Translating the company strategy into actionable, pragmatic people plans that deliver measurable business impact.
Using data and insights proactively to identify and address challenges before they arise, then implementing solutions and measuring their effectiveness.
Leading workforce planning efforts, including organizational design when necessary.
Delivering and embedding change initiatives throughout the entire employee lifecycle to support scalability and agility.
Leading the delivery of key lifecycle programs alongside the People Operations team, including performance reviews and compensation cycles.
Managing complex employee relations cases with discretion and expertise.
Overseeing global people operations processes to ensure smooth delivery of lifecycle moments during the Head of People’s absence.
Representing the People function in strategic discussions and leadership meetings.
Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the employee experience.
We’re looking for someone who: 🧠💚
Experience as a Senior People Partner in high-growth, scaling environments
A proven track record partnering closely with senior leaders during scale-up phases (experience with GTM or ProdTech is essential; experience in both is a plus)
Success in embedding impactful, company-wide people initiatives
Strong knowledge of UK employment law (EU experience is a plus)
Hands-on experience with employee relations, performance management, and organizational change
An empathetic communication style combined with the ability to challenge constructively
A strategic mindset paired with strong execution skills
The ability to influence, build trust, and use data effectively to drive decision-making
Strong project management skills and proven coaching capability
Confidence navigating ambiguity and solving complex people challenges
Experience with platforms such as Notion, Humaans, and Leapsome is desirable but not essential, as is knowledge of multi-country employment law
Availability to start ASAP is a plus. If your notice period is longer than one month, being able to support a brief handover and onboarding would be greatly appreciated!
